SIU Program Completion And Graduation Rates

The "Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act" was passed by Congress in 1990 and, among other things, requires institutions of higher education eligible for Title IV funding to annually calculate completion or graduation rates of certificate- or degree-seeking full-time students entering that institution.  Additionally, institutions that participate in any Title IV program and are attended by students receiving athletically-related student aid are to submit annual reports to the Secretary of Education showing graduation/completion rates of all students versus those of students receiving athletically-related student aid.  SIU is required to disclose these rates to students, prospective students, prospective student athletes, parents, and coaches in order to allow them to make informed judgments about the educational benefits available at SIU.
